A simple mason jar offers an endless world of D.I.Y. opportunities and whether you’re a crafting vixen or a glue gun novice, this project is guaranteed to please the masses. The end product can serve as a stunning addition to any table setting or as an aesthetic update around your home.

Supplies:

- mason jar

- yarn

- tape

- krylon spray paint

- tea light

How To:

1. Select your mason jar of choice or if you’re feeling whimsical, let the jar choose you. Any size and shape will do, we craftsters are liberal folk.

2. Wrap the yarn tightly around the jar in any artsy pattern that your lil’ heart desires. Are you an Impressionist or a Cubist? Today’s the day to connect with your inner Braque.

3. Tape the ends of the yarn to the jar, being careful to hide the tape underneath so it won’t make an unexpected appearance après-spray.

4. Protect your workspace with newsprint. Place the mason jar upside-down on a flat surface and let the spraying commence. Apply 3 coats of paint, allowing each application to dry completely.

5. Carefully remove the yarn and tie a ribbon around the top of the jar. Light and place tea light inside.

6. Step back and bask in your crafting glory.
